Requirements
• Proven experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably with exposure to both café and small-plate/bar service.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal cooking and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain high standards under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Team-oriented approach with strong communication skills.
• Solid understanding of WHS, kitchen hygiene, and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities – Chef
• Plan and coordinate the preparation and cooking of all menu items across both services.
• Develop and execute seasonal dishes in line with the venue’s culinary direction.
• Supervise and lead kitchen staff, maintaining consistency and quality.
• Assist with inventory management, cost control, and ordering.
• Uphold standards of presentation, portioning, and timing.
• Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS), hygiene, and HACCP regulations.
• Contribute to team development through training and mentoring. Skills and experience:
• Relevant qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification
• At least 1 year of experience
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills. Key Responsibilities – Cook
• Prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items, including brunch favourites, share plates, and small dishes.
• Follow recipes and plating standards to maintain consistency and quality.
• Support daily food preparation, cooking and cleaning duties. • Assist with stock rotation and storage in line with food safety standards.
• Work closely with the Chef to deliver smooth service across both café and bar offerings.
• Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS), hygiene, and HACCP regulations. Skills and experience:
